The established annual meeting of the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) on Aesthetic Medicine,took place in London on 24.02.2017. Dr. Athina Matekovits was invited to participate as an international speaker / presenter.
Dr. Matekovits presented the topic “Lasers in dermatologic patients: fears and facts.” which refers to the safety of laser treatments performed for aesthetic purposes (eg laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, etc.) in patients with chronic skin diseases such as psoriasis and vitiligo – conditions characterized the appearance isomorphic phenomenon (Koebner). The presentation presented great interest and received positive feedback.
Many physicians and health care professionals involved in the field of aesthetic medicine attended the meeting, while the panel of speakers were particularly prominent dermatologists and plastic surgeons with international recognition. It was an extremely interesting and fruitful scientific meeting.
