Juvederm Volite by Allergan (producer of Botox) was launched on the European market in January 2017 and has recently been introduced in our country as well. Volite is first Juvederm product designed to improve skin quality. Other Juvederm products currently on the market are designed to fill wrinkles and restore lost volume in the face.
Volite was first presented to the Greek medical community (Dermatologists and Plastic surgeons) on Saturday, March 11th, during a clinical workshop organized by Allergan Greece. Dr Athina Matekovits attended the meeting. Keynote speaker, Dr Marva Safa from Switzerland, a principal investigator for the clinical studies designed to test the new product, presented in detail the characteristics of the new product and shared her clinical experience from using it in a series of patients.
Volite is a low viscosity, cross-linked hyaluronic acid product that uses the unique patented VYCROSS technology like other Juvederm products – Voluma, Volift and Volbella. Volite is meant for much more superficial treatment and designed to improve skin smoothness (absence of fine lines), hydration and elasticity. Studies show results can last up to nine months with just one treatment session.
Volite should be injected intradermally into the skin. It contains anesthetic (lidocaine) to minimize treatment discomfort. Areas of the skin that are usually treated include:
Face – moisturizes the skin from within, restores the radiance and firmness of the skin. Treats fine wrinkles and acne scars. Delivers a healthy-looking glow.
Lips – moisturizes without bulging lips. Lips immediately become smooth and shiny as when wearing lip gloss.
Neck – smooths wrinkles and lines, moisturizes the skin.
Decollete – smooths wrinkles and lines, moisturizes the skin.
Hands – moisturizes and softens the skin, makes it more resistant
Only one treatment is needed. Results are observed either immediately or within the next few days. Treatment effect lasts for at least nine months!!!
The main difference between Volite and other products intended for skin quality improvement like mesotherapies and skin boosters is the long duration of the effect after only one application.
Volite can be used either as a monotherapy, or in combination with other rejuventation treatments such as microdermatbrasion. chemical peels. fractional CO2 laser.
Ask your Dermatologist if Volite is indicated in your case.
